ABOUT CATRIONA
Catriona Cunningham
Artist & Art Tutor
Catriona is a visual artist living on a farm nestled beside the remote wilderness of Fiordland National Park in Aotearoa New Zealand. This spectacular geographical location of glacier carved landscapes and phenomenal night skies is a constant source of wonder and inspiration for her arts practice. As well as painting Catriona also uses photography and video to explore and connect with this natural world and the cosmos.
Catriona graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art and a postgraduate teaching certificate in England. Her teaching career has taken her around the world from the urban city environments of Europe to the wildlife-rich landscapes of Northern Botswana, before settling in Aotearoa New Zealand in 2002. Alongside her arts practice, Catriona has been running regular art classes for children and adults in the Te Anau and Manapouri areas since 2015.
